Introducing Notes of Art!

Join us on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Tabby Place for Notes of Art!

Notes of Art! is a public event with our Boys & Girls Club of Northern Beaufort County Member artwork on display!

“Notes of Art” is an arts education program based on music and visual arts integration. Local arts educators, Lisa Clancy and Hank Herring, will be working directly with Club sites throughout Northern Beaufort County. Students will create their own musically inspired artworks using a variety of media including acrylics and watercolor, including their own personal artist’s statements. Finished pieces will be exhibited during “Notes of Art” show with some of the artists available to sign prints. Note cards, prints, and other items will be available for a “donation” with all proceeds supporting BGC Clubs North of the Broad.

You will be inspired by the talented Club member’s artistic interpretation of this project!

Our “Notes of Art” Musical Talent: Walker & Annabelle Dean

Friday, January 12 , 3-6 pm

Walker Dean will be taking the stage with his daughter, Annabelle, during the “Notes of Art” exhibit from 3-6 pm on Friday, January 12th at Tabby Place.

Dean is a local musician who has been performing locally and regionally for over 30+ years. A graduate of Elon University, Dean has been honing his musical skills since the age of 15; from “yacht rock” classics to Motown, classic rock and country, blending it together with a touch of humor throughout his performances.

Joining him on stage will be his daughter Annabelle, a 4th grader at Bridges Prep, where she is a member of the chorus. Annabelle has been preforming with her father since she was 4 years old.
